Last Friday, they judged the quality of meat using meat colour, fat colour, marbling and after-cooked tenderness.
Cuts of meat included sirloin, rump, scotch fillet, blade and wagyu meatballs.
Students also dug new potatoes and barbecued them, and prepared a salad using produce from the vegetable gardens.

THE new jumper was ratified at the last P and C meeting in 2019. The first allotment ordered should arrive late this term.
The cost will be reduced initially to allow an easier transition over the next 12 months.
The style reflects the survey data compiled throughout 2018 and then lengthy discussion with around 20 suppliers to see who was best positioned to deliver on design and cost.
The following are key points:
- It will be a jumper for years seven to 10
- The year 10 jumper is not available from this point on.
- The senior jacket will be for both years 11 and 12.
- The year 12 cohort will have an opportunity to embroider their jumper to distinguish themselves from year 11.
