With more than 200 lives lost on NSW roads already this year, police are calling on road users to play their part and obey the road rules, making sure everyone gets home safely.
Operation Merret does not mention the choice of driving a black car on a black road, along with other choices that are regarded as selfish decisions that can lead to a senseless loss of lives.
OTHER RECENT LETTERS:
I have been campaigning on the danger of driving black cars on black roads for a number of years.
I consider that all cars should have some white on the front of them, such as white front bumper bars. Most have black.
I think that I have had some success as there is a large number of white cars on the roads now.
Unfortunately, there is also a large number of black cars driven by people who have not got my message or who have ignored the dangers of driving black cars on black roads.
