U3A members who form the Ukes With Altitude group put their newfound skills on show at the Ukulele Festival in Katoomba recently and, from all reports, were warmly received.
Oberon U3A is offering many courses and activities for 2019 - so many, according to officials, that it will be impossible to join in them all.
Visit oberon.u3anet.org.au for a full list of what's on.
Oberon U3A has already had two busy weeks of activities.
Gary Theiss from Belly’s Bikes in Bathurst came out to Oberon to give the U3A bicycle riders some tuition in basic bike maintenance and some pointers on riding comfortably and correctly.
The exercise groups are all going well, with a good crowd attending the water aerobics course on Friday mornings. The Armchair Travel group went to Namibia last week and the Food Safari group went to the Royal Hotel for lunch in week one of the term.
Members are making the most of what is being offered by the wonderful volunteers who all contribute to the running of the organisation.
New members are always welcome. Just pick up a membership form or go to the Oberon U3A website to download one.
