OBERON University of the Third Age (U3A) was honoured for the second time this year when it was named the Volunteer Group of the Year at the recent Australia Day ceremony. The group won the Excellence in Health and Lifestyle category at the Oberon Business Awards evening held in November.

Secretary Jenn Capel accepted the award, presented by Councillor Sam Lord, on behalf of the organisation. Jenn thanked the Oberon community for so enthusiastically embracing Oberon U3A, which in 2016 had close to 200 members.
