OBERON High School students participated in Clean Up Australia Day on Monday, March 9.

Caring for our environment, staff and students cleaned up around the school grounds and boundaries.

Thank you to Miss Bender for organising this event.

It was a great hands-on, practical educational experience as well as building teamwork skills.

OTHER RECENT OBERON HIGH NEWS:

Athletics carnival

THERE was fantastic weather for the 2020 Oberon High athletics carnival.

It was great to see so many students turn up early to prepare for the day.

They were proudly wearing their house colours and were motivated to perform at their best.

One record was broken on the day: Jed Ryan's 18.85 metres in 12-year male discus broke L Hayden's record of 17.90m from 2001.

Werong was the winning house with 791 points, Tuglow finished with 722 and Abercrombie 718.

It was pleasing to see so many students compete to give the day great atmosphere.
