Up to a dozen members have been attending working bees on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month where shelves have been tidied and display items cleaned and checked off against the central register.
The blacksmith shed tools have been sorted and catalogued with the ultimate aim of turning it into a working blacksmith's space.
Col Roberts has been successful in getting a grant to erect two outdoor sheds for displaying equipment.
Members are reminded that renewal fees are now due and that the members' AGM will be held at the museum on Sunday, September 15 at 3pm.
Application forms to join the museum are available from the library or from the secretary Pam Dellow on 0448 671 754 or email oberonmuseum@gmail.com.
