The deposit box for used baling twine at the library is quickly emptying, so we expect some inspired creations for Oberon's Waste to Art competition and exhibition.
All other materials usually thrown away can be recycled for the competition - imagination is the only requirement.
Entry forms are available from council and the library and must be returned by May 1 and artworks handed in to the Robert Hooper Community Centre on Friday, May 10 from 9am to 4pm.
Forms can also be downloaded online at www.oberon.nsw.gov.au.

The exhibition will be held on Thursday, May 16, Friday, May 17 and Saturday morning, May 18. Artists are encouraged to collect their work on Saturday afternoon or by arrangement.
There were 80 entries in 2018, including those in other media such as fashionable bags made from scraps of fabric, glass jars recycled into water display containers and an egg carton mobile.
The organiser of the regional exhibition, Netwaste, has accepted the offer of the revived Malachi Gilmore Hall as an ideal location for that event from July 29 to August 17.
The regional exhibition will bring visitors of all ages from council areas across the west of the state to view the best recycling, craft and creative entries chosen from their local exhibitions.
