The month-long array of activities in and around the Oberon region will explore the delicacies and rare finds that can be uncovered by foragers.
The activities will include specialised forage tours for wild mushrooms, secluded forest lunches, a newly launched wine trail and workshops with experts sharing their skills and know-how on foraging in the forest.
The festival was created because the VIC saw an increasing demand for food and wine options in the Oberon region, in particular the annual surge of visitors seeking out wild mushrooms.

"To celebrate the inaugural F2F, vignerons, artisans and local producers across the region will come together to launch Oberon's first ever wine trail," he said.
Those on the trail will enjoy custom tastings, country hospitality and "some of the finest produce from across the Oberon region", he said.
The tour includes transport, Oberon wine glass, tastings and lunch.

Introduction to Forest Foraging will be held on Saturday, April 13.
Mr Webb said there will be speakers from a broad section of forestry, urban foraging, and farming "as we explore the issues, opportunities, and techniques required for safe and sustainable wild food foraging".
"This free introductory session at the VIC will give would-be foragers a true insight into the activity and a unique view towards the history of the activity in and around Oberon," he said.

Mr Webb said to add to Oberon's tourism and outdoor adventures, Oberon Council has been successful in its application to the NSW Government's 2019 Incubator Events Funding Stream for $20,000 to help with staging Oberon Outdoor Week activities in November 2019.
"So look out for an expanded fishing competition, new mountain biking, running, fossicking and entertainment across the week," he said.
