OBTA president Helen Lowe said the website was designed not only for visitors to the area, but for locals.
"The visual appeal of the site is obvious as soon as you click on visitoberon.com – the video previously commissioned by OBTA starts to roll in the background and many of the photos submitted for photography competitions are featured throughout different parts of the site,” Mrs Lowe said.
“It was a big task which the small OBTA committee took on when they volunteered to come up with a plan for a new website for Oberon.
“That plan started in 2017 and the website went live a month or so ago. It’s fresh and easy to navigate.
"Information about eating options, places to stay, businesses and services in Oberon are available, with the added ability to link to the websites maintained by these businesses.
"Community information is also available from the ‘living’ section via a quick link to the Neighbourhood Centre community guide for residents."

Mrs Lowe thanked OBTA committee members Jenn Capel, Col Roberts, Sue Roberts and Julie Stott, who she said worked tirelessly with James Lloyd from Brijid Media in getting a great result for Oberon.
“A special thanks to James Lloyd for his patience and understanding when working with a voluntary organisation. Everyone can have their own ideas and many changes were made along the way,” she said.
Col Roberts said OBTA saw the need for a new website “as it is our major marketing tool”.
"We owed this to our members and we have control over it,” he said. "It's mobile friendly and simple to navigate and has a wow factor.
"Visitoberon.com belongs to OBTA - we manage it and we update it."
Oberon mayor Kathy Sajowitz said council had been pleased to support OBTA with all the work it had done.
"This will help Oberon's tourism and we will not be left behind," she said.
Borg Manufacturing CEO Jim Snelson was also at the launch and said as a major investor in Oberon, it was great to see everyone working together to better the town.
"To be successful in business, we need to work with social media, whether it be websites, Instagram or Facebook,” he said.
"As a company investing in town, we are trying to attract people to the area. At the moment, we have 17 vacancies at Borg.
“With a website like this, potential employees can see what services, clubs, eateries, accommodation and schools, etc are on offer in Oberon."
