Signing star striker Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund will likely cost his new club up to 300 million euros ($A466 million), according to his German player agent.

Volker Struth, who among others represents Germany forward Timo Werner and former international Toni Kroos, told Wednesday's edition of the Sport Bild weekly the big fee means the 21-year-old Norwegian will move abroad next year and not stay in the Bundesliga.
"I believe the transfer will take place in 2022. Haaland has a release clause. The full package with salary for five years and agent fee will probably be in the region of 250 to 300 million euros," Struth said.
The biggest transfer fee up to now are the 222 million euros Paris Saint-Germain paid for Barcelona's Neymar in 2017.
Haaland, who is currently sidelined with injury, came to Dortmund in January 2020 from Salzburg and has a contract until 2024.
He is sought by many European top clubs and Struth ruled out a move within Germany to Bayern Munich because of the big sums at stake, such as a salary of 50 million euros.
"Even if Bayern Munich had the money they wouldn't do it," Struth said. "All hell would break loose if a player in Germany earned 50 million."
Struth said he expected Haaland to make his decision based on where he can win big titles such as the Champions League.
"He will not only decide based on the money. Ten per cent more or less won't guide him," Struth said.
