But according to Oberon RSL managers Peter Price and Connie Hotham some of the non-fully vaxxed are trying to slip through the cracks causing a headache for staff.

"It's been difficult because we've had to turn back non-fully vaccinated members and non members, but most people are understanding but some people are not," Mr Price said.

He said the RSL was running into issues where some people thought it was the business' laws.

"We've just got to try remind them that it's the state laws and not our laws, that's the biggest issue," he said

Ms Hotham said there was also an issue when it came to people being uncertain of what ID they had to show.

"I think there's some uncertainty of what people actually have to have, we've been getting doctor's appointments cards and things that aren't legal, it needs to be a proper certificate," she said.

She stressed the importance of people doing the right thing and said inspectors had already been on site to check.

"People need to make the effort to do the right thing because we will get shut down if they don't.

"The inspectors were in on our first day back and were checking what we were doing and reminded us of the fines and consequences if we didn't comply with the correct protocol," she said.

Ms Hotham said if people were doing the wrong thing they receive a $1000 fine while the business cops a $5000 infringment.

"...plus we could get shut down, so we're not the bad guys. We're trying to make it all okay and we understand it's frustrating but we are thankful to be back open and hopefully getting back to some sort of normality where we can have back entertainment and give the locals what they deserve," she said.
