The forecast for Wednesday no doubt put a lot of people off venturing onto the course.
It was a very cold morning the week before last for golf, but the field started on time, as the players were worried about the forecast for later on in the day.
A good field of 12 committed ladies teed off for the final round of the Pat Arrow Trophy.
Unfortunately, the forecast rain came in around midday, which caused a serious chill among the players.
All the ladies in carts retired to the clubhouse, but the hardy walkers, Sue Webb and Denise Brown, soldiered on to complete the 18 holes.
Therefore, Sue Webb was declared the winner of the Pat Arrow Trophy and the day's versus par competition, with Denise Brown the day competition runner-up with -6.
Both ladies deserve a medal for continuing to play in such unpleasant conditions!
Next week will be the Bowyer and Livermore-sponsored Monthly Medal Round.
