Looks like they are all fair-weather golfers.
Saturday was a little different, however, with a frosty morning followed by a bright, sunny day.
There was a good field of golfers playing a stroke event for the monthly medal.
Alan Cairney found a touch of form for a good round of 83/72 to win A grade. Alan also won the A grade putting with 28 putts.
Kim Rawlings wasn't far behind, beaten on a countback with a good round of 81/72. However, Kim won the A grade scratch ball with his round of 81.
Dave Zhou had his first win in B grade with a solid round of 105/72 to beat Mark Mathews 89/72. Mark won the B Grade scratch ball with his round of 89.
Sean Mooney won the B grade putting with 30 putts.
Balls went to Marty Hotham, Chris Lord, Dennis O'Connell, Neil Whalan and Dave King. Dennis O'Connell was nearest the pin on both the first and seventh holes.
A winter matchplay will begin from next week with the first round to be completed by the end of June.
Matches can be played by arrangement with your opponent during competition or at another suitable time.
The draw for the first round is as follows: Marty Hotham v Peter Griffiths; Mick English v Kevin Hally; Peter Hutchinson v Robyn Stapleton; Kim Rawlings v David Zhou; Kevin McGrath v Phil Cummings; Gary Willis v Rob McGrath; Peter Ryan v Dennis O'Connell; Matt Foran v Ian Fowler; Adrian Poulten v Laurie Murphy; Barry Lang v Anthony McGrath; Katie Graham v Alan Cairney; Paul Behan v Chris Lord; Blake Miller v Kevin Whalan; Darren Gordon v Eric Whalan; Andrew Yeo v Anthony Miller.
There will be golf this week on Saturday and Monday, both stableford events.
