THE Oberon Lifestyle Properties-sponsored pennants team has put in a brilliant performance this year, winning the whole Blue Mountains Interclub Bowl competition, from start to finish.

The final round was played last Monday, which saw Oberon come home with the crystal bowl.
Pennants team members who participated in this historic win over four rounds were Katie Graham, Glennie McGrath, Stella McGrath, Flo Spence, Robyn Stapleton, and Sue Webb.
Meanwhile, a strong field of ladies played a Golf NSW two-person Ambrose at Oberon last Wednesday in cool and clear conditions.
The extremely successful pennants team was well represented amongst the winners.
Coming in first on the day were Robyn Stapleton and Katie Graham with a net score of 70 1/4.
Sue Webb and Glennie McGrath were the runners up, with 72 1/4. In third place were Stella McGrath and Robyn Slattery.
Next week will be the second round of the Pat Arrow Trophy, the Bowyer and Livermore-sponsored Monthly Medal round and the fifth round of the Golf NSW Medal.
There will be a committee meeting after golf.
Men's golf
IT has been another busy week for our golfers with golf played on Thursday afternoon, Saturday and Monday.
Twenty-two golfers played the Thursday afternoon 12-hole social handicap event this week.
Kevin Hally showed a touch of form to win the afternoon with a good round for 28 points while Phil Cummings had a good shot to the first to win nearest the pin at 2.9 metres.
Peter Ryan was the runner up with a good round for 28 points and balls went to Glenn Murray, Phil Cummings, Larry Williams, Hamish Gidley-Baird, Les Handicott, Brett Cooper and Laurie Murphy.
Saturday was a beautiful May day and attracted a good field of golfers to the course.
The course in wonderful condition and is a credit to the committee, staff and to Oberon. Chris Lord had a good round to win A grade with a score of +2, Darren Gordon was the runner up on a countback with +2.
Ken Maddison relished the conditions and had a fine round for +5 to win B grade. Peter Griffiths was the runner up with a good score of +3.
Bob Rickard was closest to the pin on the ninth hole and Chris Lord was closest on the 17th. Balls went to Peter Hutchinson, Dennis O'Connell, Neil Whalan, Phil Cummings, Kevin Hally, Mark Mathews, Larry Williams and Anthony Miller.
On Monday the club hosted the Central West Veterans to play an 18-hole Stableford event. There was a total of 70 players including seven ladies.
Our local golfers were well represented in the results showing the home course advantage.
A former local Pat Harvey won the ladies event, Glyn Samuel won the B grade with a good card for 39 points and Barry Lang won the A grade event with a good score of 39 points. The visitors were very impressed with the condition of the course, especially the greens.
Golf next Saturday will be an 18-hole Stableford event.
We are planning a match play to begin in June, there is a sheet on the bar to add your names to the list already committed. There is still board positions to fill, we would love to have a couple of members commit to this.
