A 21-YEAR-OLD man was at a party in Albert Street, Oberon on Saturday, April 17 when he was approached by two other men in the rear yard of the premises.

One of the men allegedly held the victim's arms while the other man punched the victim to the head and face several times.
As a result of the assault, the victim suffered a broken nose and was transported to Bathurst Hospital by family members.

Motorcycle accident
POLICE attended a property on Ryans Lane, O'Connell after two people fell from a motorcycle around 1.10am on Monday, April 19.
The male rider lost consciousness as a result of the fall and sustained facial injuries, including a broken nose and numerous lacerations, and was airlifted to Westmead Hospital.
The female pillion passenger also fell from the bike, but did not sustain any injuries.
Initial inquiries from attending police found that the male and female had been drinking alcohol for quite some time prior to the incident.
Neither the rider nor the pillion were wearing helmets at the time.
Police encourage all riders of motorcycles or quad bikes and side-by-sides on private property to wear helmets to assist in limiting injuries if an accident occurs.
Car collides with heifer
A 20-YEAR-OLD man was driving towards Black Springs on Abercrombie Road at 7pm on Saturday, April 17 when his vehicle collided with a heifer on the roadway near Gormans Lane.
The impact of the collision caused substantial damage to the vehicle and the heifer died shortly after from her injuries.
The driver was uninjured, but quite startled by the incident.
Local property owners were spoken to about the ownership of the heifer, however, with no ear tag or earmark, the owner is still to be located.
The young driver stated that his vehicle was not insured and with no-one coming forward to admit ownership of the heifer, he will be left with no vehicle as a result of the incident.
There have been several recent incidents involving livestock on roads and police are appealing to landholders to ensure fences are well maintained to avoid prosecution for wandering stock.
