The van will be in Tallys Lane, behind the Bob Hooper Community Centre, from this Friday, December 4 to Wednesday, December 16.
"Staff are doing their very best to spread the message to ensure that all women have the opportunity to be screened while they are there," a spokesperson said.
"Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women in NSW; one in seven women in NSW will be diagnosed with breast cancer by age 85; age and being female are the strongest risk factors for developing breast cancer; nine out of 10 women diagnosed with breast cancer do not have a family history; a mammogram can pick up cancers that cannot be seen or felt; and a mammogram every two years takes just 20 minutes and it could save your life."
The spokesperson said BreastScreen NSW is taking important measures to limit the transmission of COVID-19 to prioritise the wellbeing of women, staff and the community.
