THERE were 33 players on Thursday afternoon and Don Miller gave them a lesson on how to score even though he stands on the wrong side of the ball.

Don had 29 and was well clear of the next player on 27 points. Balls went to Mark Mathews, Peter Ryan, Clint Smyth, Peter Hutchinson, Larry Williams, Peter Dale, Bill Wilcox, Barry Stubbs, Andrew Yeo and Mick McKechnie.
Super Six is progressing well, with 55 players involved. On Friday, the local and Bathurst agents had a golf day organised by Pat Bird for Ray White. We also had a visit from the Liverpool Masters team organised by Graham Lawrence.
Saturday was a magnificent spring day with a bit of hot sun giving the course a bit of run. Thirty-nine players teed up in an 18-hole stableford event.
Chris Lord had one of his best days on the course and his round for 38 points was enough to win A grade. Laurie Murphy was the runner-up with 36 points.
Dave King is really hitting his straps and his 38 points won B grade. Dave also got nearest the pin on the ninth. Lenore Zamparini was the B grade runner-up with 36 points. Kevin Hally had nearest the pin on the first hole.
Katie Graham won the ladies' competition. Balls went to Mick English, Ian Fowler, Marty Hotham, Wayne Sellers and Eric Whalan.
Oberon was represented at the Blackheath Open on Sunday.
The Blackheath course is undergoing a major redevelopment and golfers are keen to see the finished results.
Next weekend is the Oberon Open. The starting sheet is filling up quickly for Sunday, with a good number of players from other clubs already on the sheet. We are fortunate to have sponsorship from Borg Panels and Oberon CRT. Mawhood's IGA will be preparing a hamper for the usual open day raffle.
The Oberon Golf Course will be in the best condition for many years. We are proud to show it off to players from all over the Blue Mountains district.
