It will be held at the Robert Hooper Community Centre on both days from 9am to 3.30pm.
The cost for each participant is $25 for the manual required for the course. Registration is essential and numbers are limited due to the COVID restrictions.
This course will be undertaken by two accredited trainers from Neami National in Orange and successful completion will entitle each participant to a certificate from Mental Health First Aid Australia as a first-aider.
To register, call Oberon Rotary president Lin Boswell on 6336 1757 or email lin@linboswell.com.au.
Rotary strongly supports community awareness of the many aspects of mental illness and how and how you, as a first aider, can assist someone who may be struggling.
We also support the Walk 'n' Talk for Life Oberon committee and the opportunity it provides for people of all ages to connect, interact and enjoy some social time during these unusual times.
Their next event will be at the Common on November 7 at 1pm. Everyone is welcome.
