I NOTICED that in the notes for council's Works Committee Meeting set down for Tuesday, September 8, a development modification is on the agenda for Waldara Farm, a wedding venue off the Edith Road which has hosted in excess of 100 events.

The business is an important part of Oberon's activities if run correctly and to conditions.
I believe the development application for the venue dates back to 2015 and has conditions set out.
One of those conditions is a contribution to roadworks which is set out in three parts or instalments.
Development applications, or variations, normally come to council through their ordinary meeting. Why the rush?
It's my understanding accounts for roading conditions were never sent out.
With council's general manager's performance coming up, this non-action should be included as Oberon Council only employs the general manager under the Local Government Act.
