A Toyota SUV was travelling west on Oberon Street when a Toyota HiLux appears to have failed to give way and has crossed the intersection in front of the SUV.
The SUV collided with the left-hand side of the HiLux, causing the vehicle to roll onto its side and come to rest on North Street.
The female driver of the HiLux, still in her vehicle, was assisted by members of the public before being removed from the vehicle by SES personnel after NSW Ambulance officers approved her removal. The driver of the SUV was assisted by a passing driver until attended to by NSW Ambulance.
NSW Fire and Rescue were also in attendance and provided fire protection and assisted with cleaning up the accident scene once the vehicles had been removed. Council staff assisted and looked after traffic control.
Ambulance officers treated both drivers at the scene before they were conveyed to Oberon Hospital.
