Under Netball Victoria's training guidelines, the club implemented a raft of new safety measures.
It had to install entry and exit points, spray and wipe down balls and equipment after use and prevent players from mingling in groups or car parks.
No scrimmage play was permitted and players had to remain 1.5 metres apart. Despite the restrictions, head coach Rachael Cross said the club was excited to start back prior to the session.
"As far as I know we are one of the only clubs to start back," she said.
"Our netball coordinator got a plastic box with essentials we needed for wiping down equipment."
It's yet to be decided if the season will go ahead, however Cross said what the squad got out of the these sessions would aid them for the following season.
