A doctor from Oberon has been accepted into the Remote Vocational Training Scheme, (RVTS) which will enable him to further his medical training while remaining in the community.
Dr Radhakrishnan Sreejith from the Oberon Medical Centre has been accepted into a GP training program, that allows him to continue to work in rural and remote communities and in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, the RVTS training model supports doctors, many of whom work as solo practitioners, to continue to serve their patients in their home towns, while upskilling.
"Congratulations to Dr Sreejith and and all those behind this fantastic program," concluded Mr Gee.
