He will remember it for bringing a milestone in his footballing career - his A-League debut for Brisbane Roar - and for bringing disappointment due to the coronavirus shutdown.
Not only are the talented striker and his Roar team-mates waiting to see if they will get to recommence their bid for A-League glory - Brisbane is currently fourth - but he misses the chance to take on two English Premier League outfits.
Roar was due to play Crystal Palace and West Ham United in July's inaugural Queensland Champions Cup - an event now cancelled due to the pandemic.
Muratovic would have been hoping to see game time in those fixtures, having both started and been used off the bench for Roar's A-League side this season.
At the time the season was put on hold, Muratovic had played in 12 matches and twice found the back of the net.
The 20-year-old, who is on a scholarship deal which extends into 2020/21, also has two goal assists.
While disappointed the cup has been cancelled, Muratovic may still get an English Premier League experience next year.
"We will do everything we possibly can to try to rearrange the tour for 2021," Palace chairman Steve Parish said.
West Ham manager David Moyes, meanwhile, said the club was looking forward "to visiting Australia in the future".
