OTHR was awarded the Volunteer/Volunteer Group of the Year at Oberon's Australia Day ceremony 2020.
OTHR is a dedicated group of volunteers numbering around 200 members spread across Australia. OTHR's mission is to reopen the long-closed railway line between Oberon and Tarana.

The rail line opened in 1924 and rail services were suspended in the early 1970s.
OTHR is proud that the work it does in bringing the Oberon branch line back to life has been recognised by local residents.
OTHR committee has made the decision to cancel the Heritage Fair previously scheduled for March 14, 2020.
The committee felt that many country enthusiasts and exhibitors have been badly affected by the ongoing severe drought and bushfire crises and could better use their time to manage their situation.
