When Somerset's Kath Dudley bought Pluto the steer from a nearby farm eight years ago, he fit in the back of her car.
"He was one day old ... but was always a big boy," she said.
"We bought him to give to a cow who's calf had died. She liked him but she wouldn't feed him.
"They say you can't raise a calf on formula ... well, this is what happened."
The Holstein Friesian now measures 6 ft 2 and weighs 1.2 tons.
"When Gavin from the Wynyard vet saw him he said, 'that's the biggest steer I've ever seen', and that's saying something when you think about how many he must visit," she said.
"He said they don't stop growing."
Miss Dudley said Pluto munches through a hay bale each day, kilos of grass, and "sounds like a train" when he moos.
"He even does extra large s****," Miss Dudley joked as Pluto gave a demonstration.
"We certainly can't make him go anywhere he doesn't want to go."
"We'd never send him to Greenham's, he's happy and he's too old for steak."
