The Bathurst Gymkhana was held on Sunday, November 10 where six riders from Oberon Pony Club participated. Victoria Webb won B grade showjumping and was awarded champion for her age group and overall sporting champion for the day.
Felicity Webb was awarded reserve champion for her age group. Emily Beattie won both the Working Stockman's Challenge and C Grade showjumping. Georgie, Annabelle and Pip Webb all came home with a bag full of ribbons.
Victoria and Felicity Webb then represented Oberon at the Orange Pony Club Gymkhana on Sunday, November 17. Both riders were awarded reserve champion for their respective age groups. Felicity won C grade showjumping and Victoria won B grade showjumping and the double barrel race challenge.
Oberon Pony Club held its annual end-of-year rally day and Christmas party on Sunday, December 1.
The club finished the year off with a morning trail riding through a property at Mutton Falls, followed by a barbecue lunch alongside the Fish River.
Participants were able to swim in the river while the committee held its AGM. Riders were awarded end-of-year trophies and certificates before riding back to home base. Congratulations to the newly elected committee for 2020.
Oberon Pony Club will return in 2020 with a two-day camp to be held mid-January, then it will be back to rally days being held on the first Sunday of every month, starting with Sunday, February 1.
