Students were selected for the school team after their success at the school's athletics carnival day during term two.
Five Oberon Public students have been selected to form part of the Bathurst District squad to attend the Western Area Athletics Carnival to be held at Dubbo in September: Joe Ryan (nine years boys 100m dash); Jed Ryan (11 years boys shotput, discus and 800m); Kallum Baxter (senior boys high jump, discus and 800m); Jorja Taylor (800m); and Zoe-Grayce Boss-Walker (junior girls shotput).
Oberon Public celebrated Education Week with a formal assembly held on Monday morning.
We welcomed mayor Kathy Sajowitz, along with many parents and community members, to help us acknowledge the wonderful citizens of our school.

We were entertained with a PowerPoint presentation of the stage three excursion to Point Wolstoncroft and the school choir performed under the direction of Mr Wood of the Mitchell Conservatorium of Music and Miss Hull.
The Oberon Council Citizenship Award recipients for 2019 are: Rubi Christie-Johnston (Early Stage 1); Patrick Cole (Stage 1); Lucas Holland (Stage 2) and Max Humphries (Stage 3).
