NATIONAL Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
St Joseph's School's year one students painted the Aboriginal flag on their hands as a sign of respect and our year six painted beautiful Australian sunset pictures using the colours from the Aboriginal flag.
The dates for NRW remain the same each year: May 27 to June 3.
Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
ST Joseph's School's stage three students enjoyed a digital classroom with talented author Shaun Tan, who the students have been studying in library lessons.
