BUSES will continue to replace trains between Penrith and Springwood until early next week following the discovery of Aboriginal artwork.
Sydney Trains say the discovery of culturally significant Aboriginal hand print artwork was uncovered near the site of ongoing emergency works at Glenbrook.
These works have been affecting Blue Mountains Line services as engineers attempted to stabilise and then move a 20-tonne boulder left hanging above the rail tracks.

"As we work to remove the boulder, we need to ensure that this important artwork is appropriately preserved," a Sydney Trains spokesperson said.
"What this means for you, is that the process will take longer than first anticipated but we need to get this right, and make sure the artwork is preserved while returning services to normal as quickly as possible."
Passengers are encouraged to plan their trip by visiting www.transportnsw.info.
"Again, we really appreciate your patience and understanding while we undertake this important work quickly, respectfully, but most importantly, safely," the spokesperson said.
No vision or photos of the artwork have been released.
