The Oberon Youth Council Youth Skillz 4 Life workshop is scheduled over two days on Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14. If you have a son or daughter between the ages of 16 and 24 or even a grandson/granddaughter, encourage them to come along. The workshop is free as part of Youth Week. Saturday, April 13, from noon to 6pm, will feature a session on budgeting and saving and a session on preparing and cooking a basic meal (with tips from a visiting chef from Mayfield Garden). On Sunday from 10am to 3pm will be a session on buying your first car, how to change a tyre and other basic car maintenance and a wellbeing session to finish off. AUXILIARY
FOR all those people who have been missing the delicious food from the Hospital Auxiliary stall at the Oberon Farmers' Markets, make sure you visit the street stall in the main street of Oberon on April 5 and 6. Delicious slices, cakes, scones, muffins and craft will all be on sale at reasonable prices. Make sure you get to the stall early and avoid missing out on the opportunity to purchase some great home-made cooking and craft items. The next meeting of the auxiliary will be held in the Robey Centre of the hospital at 2pm on Friday, April 12.
