The day will begin at 9am with a very Aussie-inspired morning tea, followed by the official Australia Day ceremony where all award winners will be announced.
After the official ceremony, families are encouraged to stay for a sausage sizzle, along with children’s games and activities, including a jumping castle as well as a display of heritage items by the Oberon Heritage and Collectors Club.

Visiting Oberon this year to present the awards is Australia Day Ambassador Justin Herald, who has an interesting story.
At the age of 25, with only $50 to his name, Mr Herald set about changing the course of his life.
He created Attitude Inc. a clothing brand that became an international licensing success that turned over in excess of $20 million per year.
Mr Herald’s success led to him being named the International Entrepreneur of the Year for 2005.
He was recently awarded the Future Leaders Award, which recognises him as one of the 50 most influential leaders of the next generation in Australia.
Mr Herald is managing director of Customer Culture, one of Australia’s leading customer service and customer engagement training companies, as well as being the author of eight international bestselling books.
He is regarded as one of Australia’s most sought-after speakers.
Organisers say it is sure to be a great day out for the community and they look forward to seeing everyone at the Showground Hall this Saturday.
