The club hosted the Oberon Council Golf Day that attracted more than 200 golfers.
The highlight of the day was the hole-in-one shootout on the first hole for the chance to win a Caterpillar excavator.
Thursday afternoon golf had a group of 16. Peter Ryan was closest to the pin on the first hole and Peter Dale won the afternoon with a good score of 28 points.
The competition on Saturday was a stroke event playing for the monthly medal and a putting competition. Anthony McGrath had an excellent round on a pretty tough set-up of the course and won A grade with 81/68. Marty Hotham was runner-up with 80/70.
Bill Edwards has been in good touch the past couple of weeks and was the B grade winner with 91/69. Sean Mooney was the runner-up with a solid 89/70.
John McKinnon won the A grade scratch ball and Sean Mooney won the B grade scratch ball. Jason Sargent had a good day with the putter to win A grade putting with just 28 putts and Hugh O'Neil won B grade putting with 29 putts. Balls went to John McKinnon, Laurie Murphy, Neil Whalan, Jason Sargent and Barry Stubbs.
Golf on Saturday will be an 18-hole stableford and the following Saturday will be the Big Trout-sponsored Christmas Ambrose. Lithgow Open is on this Sunday.
