MEMBER for Bathurst Paul Toole has announced $4453 in NSW Government funding for the Oberon Pistol Club as part of the 2017/18 Safe Shooting Program.

Funding has been provided to enable the club to purchase the necessary infrastructure to allow it to use the new online NSW Firearms and Licensing Communications Falcon System.

Mr Toole said this would include the purchase of a computer, scanner and internet connections as well as solar power to allow the club to gain access to the new online system.

“The main aim of this program is to increase the safety at shooting facilities in NSW as well as during club-sponsored activities held away from a club's permanent base,” Mr Toole said.

“I congratulate the club and look forward to seeing the benefits of this upgrade.”
