The respect they showed was second to none and it was a pleasure to take them away. There were so many highlights, but spending time together was greatly valued.
Special thanks to our parent helpers Mrs Kalkat, Mr Pincott and Mr Hotham, who provided much support and assistance. The children were also very grateful that their parents provided this opportunity for them.
As a school community, we are also grateful for the Australian Government Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) that is made available as a result of visiting a number of valuable sites in Canberra, including Parliament House and the War Memorial.
Pre-kindy
ST Joseph’s School students had a fun and messy time in pre-kindy with lots of sensory experiences. The children enjoyed following a procedure to make slime and also attempting to write their names with shaving cream.
The students also began an artwork in relation to the series beginning with the "Very Cranky Bear" written by Nick Bland that we have been reading each week.
