It was such a worthwhile activity with all students producing wonderful artworks and gaining many new skills. Big thanks to Mr Quick for sharing his wealth of knowledge and talent with the students.
Anzac Day
ANZAC Day is a special and important day on St Joseph’s School calendar. It is a time to pause and reflect on the sacrifice that people and their families made to live in the world we live in today.
It is so crucial to teach children the significance of the occasion. We thank all our wonderful students and staff who attended the Anzac Day commemorative march and wreath laying service last week at the Oberon RSL Sub Branch Military Museum.
Photo workshop
ON the last day of Term 1 Black Springs School students enjoyed a day learning about photography thanks to the Moran Arts Foundation.
All equipment for the day was supplied including cameras, printers and photographic paper.
Students learned ground-roots skills in visual story-telling with the professional photography teacher, who is an award winning photographer and experienced teacher. Great day.
Gym program
OBERON Public School students have had the opportunity to participate in a gymnastic program that is being coordinated by Sophie from Aspire Gymnastics.
Throughout Term 2, K-2 students will undertake four sessions that focus on fine and gross motor movement skills, involving balance and hand eye coordination activities.
Last Friday we practiced front rolls, jumping, landing safely and crawling.
All students enjoyed the variety of activities.
