"I went outside and yelled at the dogs to go home,” she said.
"When I went to water and feed the sheep in the morning, I discovered they were both severely mauled. I saw two large, dark coloured dogs leaving the paddock. I was not quick enough to get my camera.
"I contacted the local newspaper so others are aware that these dogs are on the loose. In my experience, once a dog attacks sheep, they will continue to do so. I've had this happen before.
"I keep the sheep in town to eat the paddock out otherwise I would have to mow it."
According to Oberon Council's website, a dog must be on a leash and under the control of someone capable of restraining it. If the dog owner fails to comply, they may be liable for a maximum penalty of $1100 or $11,000 in the case of a restricted, dangerous or menacing dog.
