Conditions are still very pleasant for golf, with a little less unpredictability on the fairways and lovely greens.
The scores were very close. Marjorie Webb won the Monthly Medal and Division 2 with a score of 73 nett and the putting competition with 33 putts. Second in Division 2 was Elizabeth Pollock with 79 nett, on a countback from Vonda Voytilla, who came third on a countback from Alma Hotham.
The winner in Division 1 was Robyn Slattery with 74 nett. Robyn also won the putting competition with 33 putts. Second was Lyn Prowse with 75 nett and third was Joan Graham with 77 nett, on a countback from Bev Dale.
The pennants team played round three last Monday in Lithgow. The conditions did not favour the Oberon ladies, who managed to win only one match.
There have been no results from rounds one and two as they have both been postponed due to either dangerous conditions or fog!
Next week will be a Canadian Two Stroke competition with the trophy provided by the club.
Members are encouraged to support the 60th anniversary celebration on this weekend, with drinks on Friday night, golf and dinner on Saturday and a nine-hole ambrose on Sunday.
Members are also urged to attend the Golf Club AGM next Wednesday, March 28 commencing at 7pm.
