Mrs Curran’s book features a real dog named Bobby, is written for children up to the age of eight and has a strong message about acceptance.
Mrs Curran said younger generations often miss out on anti-bullying education.
“I wanted the children to be able to see that Bobby is real, making the story real too,” she said.
Bobby The Plain-Faced Cattle Dog is the first in the Tales of Tails series. More books will be released each month.
Students received a strong message on anti-bullying, treating others with respect and not judging others by their appearance.
Year six student Janae McKenzie was lucky enough to win a copy of Amy’s next book, Murphy.
