Community members, St Joseph’s School staff, Oberon Council and Oberon Health Council are organising the lifestyle and wellness festival which will be based at St Joseph’s School on Friday, March 23.
The committee is bringing together a collection of local health options to help raise awareness and availability for community members of all ages.
The aim is to help people build their knowledge, obtain an understanding about themselves, what a healthy lifestyle can look like and how they can achieve it, and to help build and nurture a healthy, happy community. Proceedings will kick off at the Oberon Common with a colour run from 9.30am.
There will be various presentations throughout the day, along with stalls and entertainment. Internationally known band Arabesk will entertain the crowd at 4.30pm with their repertoire of gypsy jazz and funk. Crimson Royale will follow at 6pm. Organisers encourage the community to bring their picnic and rugs to enjoy the finale with live music.
