Oberon has had a string of hot days since December begun, with the mercury predicted to reach a top of 33 degrees on Monday.
The fire danger rating for the central ranges, which includes Bathurst, Oberon and Lithgow, will be very high on Monday.
A post on the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) Chifley/Lithgow Team Facebook page on Sunday afternoon alerted those in the region.
“All fire permits suspended from midnight tonight [Sunday] until the fire danger rating reduces to high,” the post read.
