World Mission Month is a time to pray and reflect on what we can do to make a difference in the world. It is great to see that we can all make small contributions which make a big difference to the less fortunate.
The gold coin donations from our ‘Crazy Sock Day” will be supporting communities in Uganda with clean drinking water. Thank you to the whole school community for supporting St Joseph’s in these special events.
MIGHT MINDS
ST Joseph’s Catholic School took two teams from stage 3 to The Scots School to participate in The Mighty Minds Muster. The students had a fun day and enjoyed participating in the stimulating and challenging tasks.
ROBOTICS
THIS term in the library, Kinder, Year and Year 2 explored robotics. Students have embraced this unit. We are looking forward to exploring the robots all term. Watch this space.
CARE SUCCESS
OUTSIDE School Hour Care (OSHC) became a reality after St Joseph's responded to requests from parents to provide out-of-school care to the children in the Oberon community with the support of the Bathurst Catholic Education Office and Centacare Bathurst.
The service strives to create “a culture of inclusivity, fairness and compassion to strengthen the social mission and values of a faith-centred community” said co-ordinator Karina Evans.
"Care is available in the mornings from 7am to 9am and in the afternoon from 3pm to 6pm. In the school holidays we are open from 8am to 5.30pm,” she said.
