The motorcycle facility at Shooters Hill is not just a motorcycle track.

Mr Weekes said they set out from the beginning to provide a junior-focused park to give young ones an opportunity to enjoy a healthy way of life.

"I've been riding for 34 years now and it's a good, healthy lifestyle,” he said.

"I'm concerned that the youth of today are hitting these hard drugs and do not have other opportunities to spend their time doing something they enjoy.

"I've made it my job to provide an opportunity, so I've affiliated with Motorcycling NSW to provide trainers on a regular basis that have the capacity to train from kick-starting a bike to advanced supercross. 

"The Department of Sport and Recreation will provide rider scholarships. As a combined hub we can now show strength and provide to the sport we are very proud of.

"There are five tracks and three tracks are designed specifically for junior riders and their families.”

The complex includes a check area, dedicated car park, picnic area, toilet facilities, a lockup compound area and camping facilities.

"The tracks are designed to cater for all skill levels, from beginners to the more experienced rider,” Mr Weekes said.

"Our aim is to provide a much-needed facility in a supervised and purpose-built manner to cater for a growing number of off-road motorcycle enthusiasts."

And the complex has already been given a big compliment.

"Daniel Gatt, CEO of Motorcycling NSW, made comment that our new centre was without a doubt the best facility in NSW,” Mr Weekes said.

"This was humbling to hear after the endless work required to get this off the ground.

"We are limiting our bookings to ensure that riders’ satisfaction is met."
