Come along and browse the stalls presenting locally produced beef, lamb and pork, organic vegetables, honey, bread, jams and preserves, woodwork items, local wine and brewed beer, port, olive oil, home-baked pies and cakes, Greek sweets and chocolate.
The Tarana Bush Fire Brigade will have bacon and egg rolls using eggs from Allendale Free Range Eggs and Ruellas Coffee will be there along with sausage rolls and pies from the Universal Eatery.
New to the market this month will be fairy floss.
The feature demonstration from noon will be Victoria Theyers making ricotta cheese and showing the different ways to use ricotta.
There’s plenty of seating at tables under umbrellas which adds to the ambience of the market.
Market co-ordinator Lynne Woods said there will be something for everyone such as flowers in pots, vegetable seedlings and cold climate plants as well as a variety of arts and craft stalls.
Enjoy the picturesque drive to Tarana, and buy some fresh local produce from the person who grew or made it.
Some lucky person will win a basket of goodies sourced from the stallholders, with the proceeds going to the bushfire brigade.
The markets have been operating for the past 12 months and stalls increased from 17 to 40 in September.
