Oberon Meals on Wheels relies on volunteer drivers to deliver freshly prepared meals to those in need in their homes each day.
Meals on Wheels co-ordinator Marie Fitzpatrick said she is currently struggling to fill her monthly roster.
“We require at least two cars a day to cover our clients,” she said.
“We’ve been operating in Oberon for nearly 40 years and the elderly rely on the service to provide a daily hot meal.
“It’s not only delivering meals, but the service doubles as a daily check to see if everyone is OK and they have everything they require.”
Mrs Fitzpatrick said nine of her clients have no family in town so they rely on this service.
