FORMER priest at St Ignatius’ Catholic Parish in Oberon, Father Adrian Horgan died on Monday, April 20 in Concord Hospital.

Father Adrian was born on December 27, 1940 at Brighton Le Sands, NSW. The family moved to Orange after the war.
Father Adrian was ordained on July 16, 1966 in St Joseph’s Church in Orange by Bishop Douglas Warren.
His appointments in the Diocese included St Brigid’s Dubbo, Mudgee, Coonabarabran, Cowra, Dunedoo, Bathurst, Coolah, Lithgow and Oberon.
Father Adrian was also the Police Chaplain, Chifley Area Patrol, until 2011. Father Adrian retired in December 2011 and was living in Strathfield.
Rosary and prayers were held at St Martha’s Parish Church, Churchill Avenue on Monday April 27, 2015 at 7pm.
A Requiem Mass was celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, April 28 at St Martha’s Parish Church in Strathfield.
Everyone was warmly invited to the catered gathering at St Martha’s at the conclusion of the service. Interment took place privately (family only) at Rookwood Catholic Cemetery.
May he rest in eternal peace. There will be a memorial service and Requiem Mass for Father Adrian at St Ignatius’ Church Oberon on Thursday, May 7 at 7pm. All welcome.
