■ 133 on Main is holding a Pink Ribbon Day breast cancer fundraiser on Monday, October 27. Come along for a tasty breakfast, sweet treats for morning tea or a delicious lunch. Raffles will be drawn throughout the day with prizes donated from businesses in Oberon. Come and see the staff for a laugh as we are playing dress-ups.
■ Oberon Inner Wheel are having a pizza, pasta, pavlova and plonk night at the St Joseph’s School Hall on Saturday, November 15 at 7pm, for $30 per person. This is an over 18s event with trivia, socialising, and good fun. Booking at Melita’s Clippers by November 1.
■ Come along and meet author Nicole Alexander at Oberon Council Library’s next literary supper on Friday, November 14. Cost is $10 and includes supper.
■ William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Nights Dream will play at the Oberon RSL Club for one night only on Saturday, November 22. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www,trybooking.com/FVWU or via local agents at 133 On Main, Country Belle and Rosedale Gifts.
■ Oberon Children’s Centre is now taking enrolments for 2015. The centre caters for three to five year olds. Call 6336 1310.
■ Oberon and District Museum, entry via Scotia Avenue, is open every Saturday and Sunday 10.30am to 5pm, or by appointment. For more information call 6336 1016.
■ Oberon Roller Derby’s training is now on Monday night’s from 6pm to 9pm at Oberon High School.
■ Oberon Indoor Bowling Club invites members of the community to learn the skill of indoor bowling. Indoor bowls is on Tuesday evenings, names in by 7pm to start bowling at 7.30pm in the Oberon RSL Club auditorium. Families and children over 12 years of age are welcome. Junior players, aged 12 to 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
■ The Oberon Uniting Church invites members of the community to an informal get together for morning tea at 10.30am, activities followed by lunch at the Uniting Church Hall on the fourth Monday of each month. Cost is $10 which covers morning tea, activities and lunch.
■ Carer Line is a free telephone information and support service specifically for and about carers that provides access to information, emotional support and referrals to a range of services for carers. Call 1800 242 636 from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
■ Knit With Love is on the first Friday of every month from 10am- 12.30pm in the Community Centre. All welcome.
