Golf XR, an indoor golf range, is quickly coming together in George Street, with contractors in the process of finalising the bar component of the development.
The main attraction, being the bays and their associated technology, are installed and have already been put through their paces.

Golf XR is the brainchild of Ann and Richard Parker, who felt this kind of facility was something Bathurst was lacking.
"Bathurst has very limited options," Ms Parker said.
"We do have an amazing golf club and an amazing outdoor driving range, but this just gives a different type of experience."
They settled on a site at 81 to 83 George Street, where the range occupies the rear tenancy, and submitted a development application to Bathurst council in October 2025.
As construction nears completion, the Parkers expect to open the doors to the public in mid February 2026, subject to final approvals.
Golf XR is designed to be a family-friendly experience for people of all ages, and a go-to destination for many of life's moments, such as dates, anniversaries, birthdays, and corporate events.
"We do group packages, we do memberships, and we do just social play," Ms Parker said.
"The website will be available to start booking when we're closer to opening."
The building will be accessible, enabling people with disabilities to enjoy the golf range.
Ms Parker noted that Golf XR is part of the Service NSW Companion Card program, which means a cardholder's support person is entitled to free entry to the range.
Thanks to the technology the range will be equipped with, patrons will be able to test themselves on their choice of more than 2000 golf courses from around the globe.
"They can bring their own clubs, or they can hire our clubs for a $10 flat rate," Ms Parker said.
"They can have up to six people per bay, they'll pick a course, put their names in, and off they go."

Adding to the experience will be the bar, which will serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and sports bar-style food, including Byron Bay Pizza.
Golf XR will be open six days a week, Tuesday to Sunday, with the potential to increase to seven days depending on demand.
The Parkers have been pleased to see the response to the concept so far, with Mr Parker saying there has been "a lot of good talk" in the community.
People are encouraged to visit the Golf XR website to register for updates on the development.
