Dealer stock for the Zeekr 7X mid-size electric SUV will officially arrive on October 6, ahead of first customer deliveries via the Chinese auto brand's 12 dealerships across the country on October 15.

It's a massive boost for the brand after it pulled back on a previous goal of selling 3000 vehicles in Australia this year when supply of the 7X became uncertain, before now being secured.

Mr Li said the company had now received 2000 pre-orders for the 7X, a rival for the Tesla Model Y – Australia's best-selling electric vehicle (EV) – after it notched up 1000 pre-orders in the seven days after the range was announced.
That lineup includes three 7X model grades, priced from $57,990 before on-road costs for the entry-level variant simply badged as the 'RWD', undercutting the cheapest Model Y by $1000.
Measuring 4787mm long and 1650mm high, the 7X sits on a 2900mm wheelbase, which is 10mm longer than the Model Y's, but shorter overhangs make it 5mm shorter overall than the Tesla.
The entry-level 7X RWD has a single-motor powertrain producing 310kW of power and 440Nm of torque, sent to the rear wheels. It employs an 800V electrical architecture and offers a 566km (WLTP) range from a 75kWh lithium iron phosphate 'golden battery' pack.
Zeekr says it's capable of being DC fast-charged to 80 per cent of capacity in 13 minutes using a 450kW charger.
The mid-spec Long Range RWD is priced at $63,900 before on-roads, and has a 615km WLTP range, while the Performance AWD is priced at $72,900 before on-roads with 543km range.
The two higher-spec variants use a 100kWh nickel manganese cobalt battery capable of an 80 per cent fast-charge in 16 minutes, running with 420kW charging.
Since the 7X lineup was confirmed, Tesla has introduced its flagship Model Y Performance with a dual-motor powertrain claimed to deliver 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.5 seconds and offer a range of 580km (WLTP).
It's priced at $89,990 before on-road costs, with Australian deliveries scheduled for December.
Zeekr's pre-launch of the 7X comprised two promotional offers, including charging equipment, for early pre-orders.
Mr Li said all pre-order customers will receive their vehicles by the end of 2025, helping the brand achieve and potentially exceed its previous target of 3000 sales in its first full calendar year in Australia.
It has sold 610 vehicles to the end of August this year), with the X small SUV accounting for the lion's share with 527 sales, and the 009 people mover contributing 83.
Zeekr's fourth model – another SUV – is planned for Australian showrooms in 2026, but the company is yet to confirm which model it will bring Down Under next.
