Investigators believe a fight between the two groups started after a bike rider was attacked while stopped at a traffic light earlier that evening.

Emergency services were called to Glebe Foreshore Parks on Chapman Road in Sydney's inner west at 10.45pm on August 7 following an assault report.
Police officers "found six men with a range of injuries" in the park overlooking Rozelle Bay.

Investigators were told that the six men approached a group of at least four teenagers, and an argument began that led to the alleged assault.
A 21-year-old man, who arrived at the park in the group of six, had been stabbed, police said.
He was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition, and the other injured men in his group were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before they were taken to hospital.
A 15-year-old Annandale boy has been arrested, and police expect to lay charges.
Police have established a crime scene, and an investigation has been launched.
Park brawl sparked after rider attacked
Investigators believe the park brawl was the second violent confrontation between members of the groups that evening.
A man was riding his bike home from work at 10.10pm when he was allegedly attacked by an unknown man while stopped at a set of traffic lights.

Detective Chief Inspector Grant Watson said the rider was "knocked to the ground and assaulted by kicks and punches".
"Two witnesses came past the scene, a male and a female, and they intervened, which allowed the victim to escape from the assault," he said.
The victim gathered a group of five friends and went to the seaside park to confront the attacker, police believe.
"They identified the offender from his initial assault. He was with another group of young males, believed to be around 14-15 years of age," Detective Chief Inspector Watson said.
"Those males and the group with the victim then engaged in a confrontation, and during that confrontation, one of the males from the second group produced a knife," he said.
"Whilst they were running away, one of the males was stabbed a number of times, and shortly after that, all the males who were involved in the confrontation left the scene."
Police are asking for any witnesses to either attack to contact investigators, particularly the man and woman who interrupted the first alleged attack on Wigram Road.
