THE Great Western Highway remains closed in both directions following a truck fire overnight.
Emergency services were alerted to the blaze at around 11.30pm on Friday, April 18, 2025.
A B-double truck, reportedly a fuel tanker, was discovered alight on the highway near Raglan, around nine kilometres east of Bathurst.
The fire has been extinguished, but the vehicle remains at the scene.
According to a NSW Rural Fire Service spokesperson, the fire did spread to surrounding grassland, but they were able to get it contained by 12.30am Saturday morning.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said paramedics did attend the incident, but the sole patient refused transportation.

As of 8.30am Saturday morning, the Great Western Highway remains closed in both directions between Ceramic Avenue and Glanmire Lane.
Motorists can avoid the scene by utilising Limekilns Road, Yarras Lane and Glanmire Lane to drive between Kelso and and the highway at Glanmire.
